GIG Holding focuses not only on topics directly affiliated with its core business. Environmental protection and biodiversity, eco-tourism services, and eco-friendly infrastructure were the key areas explored by GIG Holding members. The initiative was centered on a specific location — the Tetritskaro municipality, including the development potential of the Manglisi resort area. As part of GIG Holding’s CSR strategy, the hackathon was hosted in Manglisi, at the newly opened Sabado Campus.
Five teams presented distinct perspectives. Despite their different approaches, there was one common requirement: each project had to be innovative and aligned with the company’s CSR priorities — biodiversity conservation, development of tourism infrastructure and products, and empowerment of the local community.
The jury included founder David Bezhuashvili and members of the holding’s management team. The winning project was “Quest,” which aims to uncover hidden stories, legends, and natural landmarks, thereby increasing interest in the region. The concept involves developing a mobile application designed to boost regional visibility, improve local infrastructure, and support and strengthen the local community.
