GIG gathered 365 stories of 100 years ago. We wanted to show how our ancestors built the country, how they fought, thought, reasoned, worked for the good of Georgia 100 years ago. This was a literal battle, both in war and peace..

The calendar is convenient to have on the desk and every day to remind you or introduce you to well-known and unfamiliar people and stories. We also chose the appropriate name: “Thinking of the Homeland” and perhaps the greatest thing would be if, years, decades or centuries later, descendants would remember you for the necessary and good work you did.

The calendar is bilingual and will also say a lot to our foreign partners. That European values were always close and there were moments when the newly independent country was ahead of the old Europe in innovations, often following in its footsteps.. The desire to acquire new knowledge and to develop was the thinking of these people.

This project is not a once-off activity, GIG team, the visualiser, is working on a new direction and preparing for next year, but before that, let's think of our homeland...
