GIG hosted members of the Georgian Renewable Energy Development Association and representatives of the USAID program

At the meeting, the members of the association were introduced to the results of the study "Electricity Consumption Forecast in Georgia" conducted within the framework of the "Governance for Development" (G4G) program, according to which electricity consumption will increase significantly by 2030 and will reach 18 billion kWh.

It is noteworthy that the model developed within the framework of the project provides not only a forecast of total consumption by year, but also a consumption forecast divided by type of end users (commercial, industrial, household, etc.).
